Band of Heroes: Herschel Supply Steps Up with We've Got Your Back™ Initiative

Donating $500,000 worth of bags to frontline workers 

The brand has committed ​$500,000 worth of their bags to support the most affected healthcare facilities across North America. Herschel has already donated over 1,000 bags to hospitals in British Columbia ​and 5,000 bags to frontline medical professionals in Ontario for International Nurses Week at facilities like Lakeridge Health, North York General Hospital, William Osler Health System, and more. Herschel will contin​ue to work with health facilities and organizations to provide products and find new ways to support them.

Committing 100% of profits from Herschel’s non-medical mask sales to fund We’ve Got Your Back programs 

As things start getting back to normal it is essential to ensure the use of a non-medical mask or facial covering by the public to stay safe and protect themselves and others around them. The travel lifestyle company has developed and produced n​on-medical reusable breathable face masks to respond to the gowing need of personal protective equipment (PPE). The Herschel’s Classic Fitted Face Mask will be available on May 21 on Herschel’s website and 100% of profits from the masks proceedings on all orders placed before June 15 will fund We’ve Got Your Back’s programs. Such programs are  designed to support frontline workers and families in need, partnering up with  Backpack Buddies, a non-profit organization that provides weekend meals to vulnerable children who rely on their school’s meal program. 

School donation program aimed to support families in need

Herschel is partnering up with schools across North America to make sure that “every kid who needs a backpack has one”. The project will pledge backpacks to students through direct coordination and communication with school districts, school boards, and educational institutions. In July, people will also be given the opportunity to nominate a school in their community to receive backpacks via an online submission form on the We’ve Got Your BackTM website.

These are only a few new initiatives that Nike is doing to respond to communities they serve during this time. To date, Nike has also given over $1,500 to local youth sports teams in North America through FlipGive.
